What is the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible you must be a family with a student in their first year of compulsory primary school to year 12 that is nominated by a participating organisation, has no active NBN service and the student must have access to digital skills training and devices to safely use the internet.
How do I participate in the scheme?
Eligible families with school-aged children can be nominated by participating schools, education authorities, charities, and community organizations. The free internet service will be available from the start of the 2023 school year. Parents and schools can contact participating organizations for more information about how to be nominated.
What is SSBI?
This SSBI initiative is a landmark step forward in providing equal opportunities for students and families, no matter where they live in Australia or how much they earn.
